Home Equity Loans

Whether you're doing home improvements, planning a vacation, buying a car, preparing for college tuition or a wedding, Firelands Federal Credit Union can help you by approving you for a low rate Home Equity Loan.

We will help you determine the current market value of your home and then compare it to the outstanding principal on your loan. This will determine what amount you can borrow against your home. Your funds are easy to access by visiting one of our convenient locations, writing a check or thru Fireline (online banking).

We offer home equity loans with low fixed rates, or take advantage of our line of credit that can be used for future advances. On primary residences the credit union will pay all of your closing fees. You should consult a tax advisor regarding the deductibility of interest.

Vacant Land Loans

Our land loans are fast and easy with estimated closing costs of $1,000.00 with a 12-year term. We can lend up to 80% LTV of your appraised value or purchase price, the lower of the two.

Please call for current rates.

Down Payment Assistance Programs

We offer a down payment assistance grant for first time homebuyers or those who have not owned a home in the last three years. However, an interest rate without down payment assistance is still being offered. Check out the OHFA website at www.ohiohome.org for more information.
